Forty years ago next month, James Cameron put an “S” on the end of one of the greatest sci-fi films of all-time. The result? Another one of the greatest sci-fi films of all-time. Aliens was released on July 18, 1986, and to celebrate 40 years of Colonial Marines, Alien Queens, Power Loaders, and Pulse Rifles, Hot Toys is bringing the fire.
The company is releasing sixth-scale replicas of both Ellen Ripley, in all her glorious, Newt-saving best, and the “Alien Warrior,” basically the main version of the xenomorph Ripley and the team encounter throughout the film. That is, until they meet momma.
First up, here are just a few images of the Ripley figure.
I think my favorite thing about this is the shoes. They made the Reeboks. That right there is a huge selling point for me, personally. The pulse rifle, alien egg, and more just add to the package.
You can see many more photos and pre-order the figure over at Sideshow. There are three versions, and the price starts at $285.
Next up is the Alien, which speaks for itself.
This has interchangeable arms, interchangeable mouths, and so much more. Perfect to come up with the scariest pose imaginable.

That too comes in two editions, with a few extra bells and whistles, and you can see photos and pre-order at this link. It starts at $315.
Aliens is a movie that means a lot to me (you can read why here), so even though these are rightfully pricey, I might have to indulge. And why not? It’s not just one of the best sci-fi movies ever, it’s one of the best sequels ever and, maybe, one of the best movies ever period.
How are you going to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Aliens?
